Aali veena kuth – Aali veena waterfall

Thalakode is 5km away from Kothamangalam Town and 5km to Neriamangalam, while travelling from Kochi to Munnar. Aali Veena waterfall is a small waterfall in the forest hill area of Thalakode village. Stream is falling up from ‘Soochippara’ hills.

Ayyappanmudi – The Serene Temple at The Hill Top

Ayyappanmudi, the serene temple is situated at the at the hill top of Ayyappan mudi. It is a solace to thousands of worshipers in and around Chembikkodu and the near vicinity. The legend says, the rice ball for Lord Ayyappa is transformed into a rock and is still fascinating to see it stays in absolute balance at the hill top.

Bhoothathankettu Tourism – A Scenic Dam Site

Thattekad Bird Sanctuary is a home to some of the rarest species of birds in India. Thattekad is Kerala’s first officially recognised bird sanctuary, established in 1983, the lush green sanctuary has more than 300 recorded species of forest and water birds. While many of them are resident birds, some are migratory. Important birds found here include large falcon, gray jungle fowl, white breasted water hen, horn bill, jungle bush-quail, etc.

Inchathotty Hanging Bridge

Inchathotty Hanging Bridge or Inchathotty Suspension Bridge – Inchathotty is a village on the banks of the Periyar River adjoining the bird sanctuary.
